Romans 6:1-2 (NKJV)
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
You can’t be dead and alive at the same time. If you died to sin, those sins were buried with Christ and can no longer be a part of your life. They are gone. Sin is no longer in your nature, because you have become part of God’s nature (2 Peter 1:4). You have become Hallowed!!

And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight; if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.
Because of the death of the only Begotten Son of God, who died on the cross for Our sins, the grace of God was extended to us through faith in Christ. God will only extend that Grace one time. Christ can’t die again so it was a one-time good deal!
God has reconciled us through the death of Jesus on the cross that we can be presented Holy and Blameless before him.

It is not that Christ stands between us and God so God can’t see our sins, it is that we change our lives through our faith in Christ, so God sees the Holy Spirit living in us (John 14:17).
