About 30 years ago, my wife and I attended a church in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
While sitting in a very boring reading of the Bible that was unfortunately called the adult Sunday School Class, I suddenly had a need to go to the rest room.
While I was walking through the church, I saw several adults that were there doing odds and ends around the church but they were not attending any class.
That day I went home and started writing. The words just flowed from my computer. By the next Saturday I had finished the first three pages of my workbook titled “Christian Life Today.”
I copied the pages and put them in a 3 ring binder. On Sunday I took them and laid them on the pastor’s desk. I asked him to read them and told them I was writing a workbook that I wanted to teach. On Monday the pastor called me and told me what class room to use. I contacted all the people that I had seen wandering around the church.
On Sunday morning, there were about 15 people in the class. As we studied the workbook, the class continued to grow.
These articles that we are going to study are designed for those who are 18 and above. They will attempt to show how the books in the bible is just as much a guide for our lives today as they were in the days when they were written.
